why not develop disposabel medical optics1) Making a device disposable sometimes is more difficult than making it reusable. The disposable/reusable decision must consider your short- and long-term business objectives and your risk management strategy

2) The high margins of disposables are alluring. But if a disposable device has a higher COST PER USE than a reusable one, you’ll be at a competitive disadvantage out of the gate.

3) Disposables requires low manufacturing cost compared to reusables. If achieving that low cost compromises PERFORMANCE, you may have early success but long term failure as clinicians realize the difference.
